5 Safety Features Available on 2019 Acura Models

When buying a new car, one of the most important areas you have to pay attention to is safety. Fortunately, more manufacturers are building in more safety features than ever before, using new technologies and techniques to achieve most of them. Since Acura is one of the top vehicle producers, it shouldn't come as a surprise that the company's 2019 lineup comes with some advanced safety features onboard. Here are five that truly stand out. ACE Body Structure more Acura's Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure is available on Acura's 2019 sedans and SUVs. It aims to provide a reinforced exterior to help protect you and your passengers from dangerous circumstances while out on the road. The body structure is designed to help reduce and disperse front crashes and keep everyone safer than they'd otherwise be. Obviously, it's a feature you'd rather not use, but if the unthinkable happens, ACE has your back. Jewel Eye LED Headlights Another not-so-obvious safety feature that will come in handy is Acura's Jewel Eye LED headlights. Equipped on the company's 2019 models, the headlamps offer a whiter and brighter alternative to conventional headlights, providing a much easier-to-see view in front of you in dark conditions. The LEDs also come with auto-dimming capabilities and fog lights to provide clarity in any circumstance. It's a small touch that will go a long way in keeping you and your passengers protected at night. Collision Mitigation Braking System One of the worst fears of any driver is hitting another vehicle, and Acura wants to help you avoid doing so as much as possible. That's why the company includes its collision mitigation braking system on all 2019 sedans and SUVs. The system utilizes a variety of sensors, cameras, and radars to detect any obstructions in front of you and visually and audibly alerts you. If your vehicle decides you don't react, it can automatically apply the brakes. It's one of those features you never thought you needed but can't live without. AcuraWatch There's a good chance you've heard about AcuraWatch before reading this article, and that's because it's Acura's flagship safety feature across its 2019 vehicles. AcuraWatch is the company's proprietary safety system which utilizes various safety technologies like adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist to help drivers remain aware of their surroundings and maintain control of their vehicle in case of an emergency. Each feature is engineered to meet Acura's high standards, so you know you're getting quality safety technologies that are dependable and reliable. AcuraLink AcuraLink is an app you can download to your smartphone in order to monitor your vehicle's performance, send service reminders, and access live assistance 24/7. What's more is you can even use it to lock and unlock your vehicle. It serves as a way to simplify your life. Overall, Acura doesn't cut any corners when it comes to safety.
