Speaking Rock Entertainment Center
Perhaps the busiest of all venues is the Speaking Rock Entertainment Center. Located on Old Pueblo Road, Speaking Rock has live entertainment every night of the week. There’s plenty of free parking, and it’s always free to enter!
They have a little of everything at Speaking Rock. Themed nights Pop Mondays, and Mariachi Tuesdays kick off the week, with live shows filling out Wednesday through Saturday. You can see any number of local bands, along with national artists like Bullet Boys, and John Pardi.
The Speaking Rock is also known for its tribute shows. Upcoming are the Michael Jackson tribute, and Selena tribute shows. You can see tribute bands for Garth Brooks, The Eagles, Slip Knot, and The Temptations.
-
Lowbrow Palace
Located on East Robinson Avenue, Lowbrow Palace’s name sells itself short. It’s neither lowbrow nor is it a palace. It’s on the small side, though the stage is multi-tiered, giving everyone a view of the show. It does have comfortable couches, but don’t be surprised if you find yourself up and dancing.
This intimate venue is a great place to see who’s who in the up and coming music scene of El Paso. Acts like Ed Maverick, Motel Radio, Scarlett O’Hara, Pinback, Grayscale, and Beach Bums are just a few bands you can see at Lowbrow.
Pop acts, country singers, grunge bands, and more all pass through Lowbrow as they shoot for the stars. Shows are for all ages, and ticket prices vary. Check out Lowbrow’s website for a full list of who’s playing and when.
