How Your Acura Warranty Protects You
New Vehicle Limited Warranty
This is the main warranty, as it protects most of your vehicle’s systems and components. The only components not protected by this warranty are those covered by other warranties below. Some types of damage are not protected by warranty, including accidental damage, damage caused by using the vehicle in racing events, or damage caused by unauthorized repairs.
This warranty also protects the airbags and airbag systems. Coverage applies for four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. Some items included in this warranty have reduced coverage, and we’ll look at them below.
Wheel Balancing and Wheel Alignment
These types of adjustments are covered for one year or 12,000 miles. After this, any work required will be completed at no charge if it’s performed as part of a warranty repair.
Wiper Blades
Your original wiper blades are covered for the first six months with no mileage limitation.
AC Refrigerant
AC refrigerant recharge is performed at no cost to you within the first two years or 24,000 miles. After this period, recharges are free if performed as part of a warranty repair.
FOB and Remote Batteries
These batteries will be replaced at no charge during the first six months.
Powertrain Limited Warranty
Your engine, transmission, transaxle, and FWD or RWD systems are protected by warranty for six years or 70,000 miles. All their components are covered, including all internal engine parts, the intake and exhaust manifolds, the powertrain control module, and the driveshafts.
Seat Belt Limited Warranty
The seatbelts and the seatbelt systems are protected for fifteen years or 150,000 miles.
Rust Perforation Limited Warranty
Perforation is rust that forms a hole through metal from one side to the other. All body and sheet metal in your Acura is protected against perforation by specialized coatings applied to the metal during construction. In the unlikely event that perforation occurs despite these protections, the affected metal section or sections will be replaced at no charge. This warranty applies for five years with no mileage limit.
Replacement 12-Volt Battery Limited Warranty
Your original 12-volt battery is protected by warranty for eight years and four months (100 months). If the battery fails due to a warranty-related issue during the first three years, it will be replaced for free. If it fails during the remainder of the warranty period, you’ll receive a pro-rated credit toward a replacement.
