Seafood | Fox Acura of El PasoBranch out from the area’s most popular Mexican food eateries and try some mouth-watering seafood in El Paso. The Gulf Coast is world-renowned for its huge variety of freshly caught sea fare, and these are just three highly acclaimed local El Paso restaurants with delicious seafood on the menu.

Landry’s Seafood House

Conveniently located near the El Paso airport, the Zoo, and Cielo Vista Mall, Landry’s Seafood House is in an iconic brick building with red-and-white striped awnings. Landry’s, touted as the best spot for seafood in El Paso, serves up fresh Gulf Coast fish, steaks, and dessert. It is ideal for a relaxing lunch or a lively dinner. After your meal, enjoy a moment on the outdoor terrace and soak up the sights of the bustling city across the Mexican border.

Landry’s expansive menu offers jumbo shrimp, oysters, calamari, salads, burgers and chicken for finicky seafood eaters, and a variety of gluten-free foods. Happy hour features world-famous margaritas and an extensive wine list in the bar. Landry’s is open late on weekdays. Most meals are around $15 per plate. Landry’s is open Sunday through Thursday until 10 p.m. and weekends until 11 p.m.

Pelican’s Restaurant

Locally owned and operated in El Paso for more than 33 years, Pelican’s Restaurant is faithful to its southwestern roots and features a trendy nautical interior, with rich wood decor in a sophisticated, seaside atmosphere. Pelican’s boasts only the finest seafood and tender, hand-carved Angus Beef, aged in-house. Peruse the extensive martini selection and enjoy live jazz twice a week.

Highly acclaimed menu items come in generous portions and include seared Ahi Tuna, Australian Lobster tail, and Pelican’s very own in-house Shrimp Monterrey. Pelican’s offers a delightful after-dinner menu featuring spirits, coffee drinks, and desserts. Pelican’s Restaurant is open daily until 10:30 p.m. Appetizers are in the $8 range, while dinner tops out at $25 a plate.

Los Aguachiles

Near Interstate-10 and Resler Canyon, Los Aguachiles is a small, authentic Mexican style seafood restaurant. A hidden gem located in an inauspicious strip mall along Mesa Street, the cheesy Baja beach-shack interior does nothing to prepare you for the outstanding seafood, Clamatos, and grilled favorites. Los Aguachiles uses simple, fresh ingredients, packed with flavor.

If you love your seafood with a spicy kick, you need to try the aguachiles, skillfully marinated in an assortment of sauces. For more mild flavor, try the Camaron para picar. Stop by in shorts, jeans, and a t-shirt for a refreshing lunch or dinner. Los Aguachiles closes on weekdays at 9 p.m. and is open late until 10 p.m. from Thursday through Saturday. Los Aguachiles’s servers are young and maybe inexperienced, but they are always friendly and kind. Lunch specials start under $8 and on Taco Tuesday, Baha fish tacos are just $1.

El Paso features an almost unlimited number of delicious seafood restaurants offering fresh fish right out of the Gulf of Mexico. These three local haunts are a few of the favorites.
