All three trims in the lineup include a wide range of standard features, such as an acoustic glass windshield and heated side-view mirrors with integrated LED directional signals and automatic tilt-down functions when the Acura is put in reverse. The included power-adjustable moonroof features tilting and sliding functions, perfect for making the interior feel more open and refreshing the air.
One of our favorite exterior features is the 2024 TLX’s lighting system, which is entirely designed with LEDs. The Jewel Eye headlights are paired with Chicane daytime running lamps and matching Chicane LED taillights for a cohesive look. On the Base Model
The entry-level trim houses a turbocharged four-cylinder aluminum-alloy mono-scroll engine paired with a 16-valve VTEC DOHC valvetrain. With 272 horsepower, 280 lb-ft of torque, and standard idle stop, the newest TLX offers drivers the rare combination of ample power and minimal emissions. The base model is front-wheel drive and comes equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission featuring Sequential SportShift paddle shifters for an engaging and highly customizable drive.
The TLX’s base model boasts a double-wishbone front suspension, a multi-link rear suspension, and amplitude reactive dampers, resulting in ride comfort that rivals all other luxury sedans in its class. With standard Agile Handling Assist and an electro-servo braking system, the Acura TLX delivers deft maneuverability and consistent braking power every time. The base model’s onboard Integrated Dynamics System includes an Individual mode in addition to Comfort, Normal, and Sport modes.
The Type S
The 2024 TLX’s top trim proudly boasts a turbocharged twin-scroll six-cylinder aluminum-alloy engine, providing 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. Instead of a 16-valve valvetrain, the Type S upgrades to a 24-valve DOHC valvetrain. The sporty Type S is a racecar at heart, featuring Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive for optimal torque distribution and enhanced cornering agility.
The top trim retains the 10-speed Sequential SportShift automatic transmission and adds rev-matching technology for downshifting, ensuring smooth and precise shifts. The Type S’s Integrated Dynamics System includes a Sport+ mode, along with all the modes available on the base model. With a standard adaptive damper system and high-performance chassis bracing, the 2024 TLX Type S delivers the sharpest handling and precision in the lineup.
