Aguirre Springs

Though Aguirre Springs is located in New Mexico, it’s just a 45-minute drive from El Paso. Aguirre Springs is surrounded by the dramatic Organ Mountains which, unlike other mountains in the area, are still jagged and steep. For the 2019 model year, the ILX received a design makeover that includes a larger angular grille between the LED headlights on the front of the sedan. Chihuahuan Desert Fiesta

As part of the Celebration of our Mountains program, the 15th annual Chihuahuan Desert Fiesta will be held Sept. 28 at the Tom Mays Unit of Franklin Mountains State Park, about 18 miles from El Paso. The event will feature guided hikes, educational exhibits, guest speakers, demonstrations, and outdoor activities in a beautiful setting. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the state park, which is sponsoring the event along with the Chihuahuan Desert Education Coalition.
