The 2018 Acura ILX is here and it is as impressive and powerful as expected. These are some of the most exciting features of the most recent edition of the ILX.
Exterior Design
The 2018 Acura ILX is available in six trim color options including white pearl, blue pearl, black pearl, silver metallic, steel metallic, and San Marino red. Available upgrades to the exterior design improve both efficiency and style. The backup sensors assist with safer parking and also add to the sleek exterior design. The LED fog lights are upgraded for improved driver visibility. The optional splash guard set will keep your tires protected and clean. To create a unique ILX design, upgrade to the chrome door trim, decklid spoiler, or body side molding.
You can also upgrade to the 2018 A-spec package, which includes 18-inch wheels, enhanced fog lights, red interior accented lighting, a trunk spoiler, and aluminum pedals. The packages also come with either the Technology Plus or Premium package, which gives you the latest in technology.
Interior
The interior of the ILX is designed with the driver’s comfort in mind. The front row seats are wrapped in premium leather materials and feature eight-way power adjustable seats. The steering wheel and shifting knobs are also leather bound. The ILX can comfortably seat five passengers with ample legroom and storage for everyone.
Each passenger will find the interior of the ILX comfortable with the dual-zone climate control system and GPS-enabled climate control. The audio system also includes 10 speakers of premium audio sound and satellite radio ability. The voice recognition turn-by-turn navigation also gets you where you need to go while keeping your eyes on the road. The entire cabin features 12.3 cubic feet of cargo space.
Drivability
The 2018 Acura ILX comes standard with a 2.4-liter engine that features 201 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. The unique eight-speed transmission improves the driving feel even more with a race-inspired operating system. The dual-clutch is comfortable and gives an efficient and smooth shifting experience. The same engine in the 2018 Acura ILX originally appeared in the Acura TLX sedan.
Safety
Safety is one of the most impressive features of the 2018 Acura ILX. In fact, the NHTSA awarded the 2018 ILX a five-star overall safety award. There are many features that contribute to this safety rating, including an advanced compatibility engineering design structure. The exterior body is designed to reduce collision force in passenger-occupied areas.
You can also upgrade to the available AcuraWatch Plus Package, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, road departure alert, and a collision mitigation braking system.
